MEC Bravo has named advertising and marketing research veteran Fernanda Fares as senior manager, consumer insights. Based in Miami, Fares will report to Jorge Espinosa, managing partner, MEC Bravo.
Fares joins MEC Bravo from NBC/Telemundo in Miami, where her research and analytical expertise helped generate increased advertising revenues for NBC affiliate WTVJ Channel 6 and Telemundo affiliate WSCV Channel 51.
Previously, Fares was a marketing manager at Univision’s WLTV Channel 23 and Telefutura’s WAMI Channel 69, and also worked as a sports sales media analyst for the Univision Television Group.
Espinosa commented, “We created this new position as part of our on-going commitment to adding value for our clients. The US Hispanic market is not monolithic; it is extremely dynamic. We view brands and make our purchase decisions based on a set of factors that are different from the general market and strong consumer insights are crucial to the development of successful communications plans. Fernanda is highly respected in the industry, with an impressive track record and deep understanding of both emerging platforms and the US Hispanic market and we are delighted that she will be joining us.”
Said Fares: “MEC Bravo recognizes the need to evolve traditional media thinking in order to develop innovative media communications plans that take advantage of the many faces of today’s US Hispanic consumers. My goal will be to continue to forge new paths and connect with those consumers in meaningful ways and I’m very excited to be part of the team at MEC Bravo.”
