Favela signs with Telemundo Studios.

Telemundo Studios announced that novela actress Marlene Favela joined its line-up of exclusive talent. The beautiful and talented Mexican actress, who will make her first appearance on tonight’s live broadcast of Telemundo’s “Premios Tu Mundo” from the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre (8pm ET), will star in upcoming Telemundo original telenovelas starting with the network’s current production “El Rostro de la Venganza” (10:30pm ET).

“Marlene Favela’s arrival to Telemundo continues to expand the breadth and depth of our talent roster which includes some of the most popular and experienced actors and actresses in the world of telenovelas and Spanish language television,” stated Joshua Mintz, Executive Vice President, Scripted Programming and General Manager, Telemundo Studios.

Originally from Durango, Mexico, Marlene Favela is a well-known telenovela star with a solid and growing career including Telemundo’s original productions “El Zorro” and “Los Herederos Del Monte” – which aired in the United States and around the world- and the worldwide success “Gata Salvaje.” Favela, who has been one of People en Español’s “50 Most Beautiful,” also co-hosted Telemundo’s “Latin Billboard Music Awards” in 2007. She broke into the English-language market with the film “Species 4,” followed by a special appearance on the successful TV series ‘’The Ugly Betty,” produced by Salma Hayek.
