Fiesta Atlanta – where the stars will shine brightly!

Fiesta Atlanta 07 announced its musical line-up for the Hispanic-themed Cinco de Mayo celebration that will take place Sunday, May 6 at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. Fiesta Atlanta is a Lanza Group, LLC, production.
Artists performing on Fiesta Atlanta’s main stage include: Banda Machos, Beatriz Adriana, Javier Garcia, Sacha Nairobi, Banda El Mexicano, Maria Lourdes, Alicia y Rumba Brava, Cuenta Regresiva, and Mariachi 2005 ¡Viva Jalisco!
Banda Machos was formed in Jalisco, Mexico – the band has toured throughout the United States, Mexico, Latin America, and Europe. Banda Machos nickname is “The Queen of Bands,” they are easily recognizable due to the band member’s colorful dress. The group has enjoyed many hits, and is regularly noted in the Billboard music charts. Banda Machos will lead the patrons of Fiesta Atlanta to enjoy, reminisce, dance and most importantly, to party!
Beatriz Adriana is one of the most important interpreters of vernacular music in Mexico, with forty records, eight of which are gold, twenty-seven movies and many, many awards. She has just proven her talent and popularity again, by winning “Disco de Oro,” a singing competition of the musical stars of the 60s, 70s, 80s,90s and 2000s, which is seen on TV Azteca in Mexico and the voting is done by the audience.
Javier Garcia achieved gold status in Latin America upon the release of “Tranquila”, his very first song. His particular fusion of Afro Cuban and American funk rock is taken to a new level in his latest release “13,” which features many guest stars including Arturo Sandoval.
Sacha Nairobi’s artistic family background made it no big surprise when Universal Music Publishing Group signed this young and talented woman. In addition to her sultry voice, and seductive looks, her talent ensures that this evolving artist will reach new heights very soon. She is featured on a soon to be released Univision Radio/Garnier emerging artist’s promotional CD.
Banda El Mexicano surged with great success in the 90s with songs like “Ramito de Violetas” and “No bailes de caballito.” Its traditional Mexican sound with banda-style music is still very popular and encourages the crowd to dance along.
Maria Lourdes is a promising young star with manifold talents such as acting, singing, dancing, modeling and more. She currently appears on Univision TV’s weekly program “Don Francisco Presenta.” Her terrific looks and pleasing voice are sure to captivate the crowd.
Alicia y Rumba Brava’s mix of African-Caribbean Rhythms, Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha, Cumbia, Latin Jazz and other universally appealing Latin sounds have been captivating crowds throughout the Atlanta metro area and the Southeast and will be encouraging Fiesta Atlanta patrons to shake their hips.
Cuenta Regresiva is an independent New Rock in Spanish group, based in Atlanta. They have received widespread approval from their fans and the local media.
Mariachi 2005 ¡Viva Jalisco! is a local mariachi group with true Mexican flavor, that emphasizes preserving the customs and roots of Mexican music.
