Discovery Kids en Español announced the acquisition of Fimbles from BBC Worldwide. Fimbles, the imaginative show for young children, will premier in the United States for the first time, completely dubbed in Spanish, on May 6, 2007 at 1:00pm ET.

Produced by Novel Entertainment for the BBC, Fimbles has long been one of the most popular preschool series in the UK and is now bringing excitement and joy to children in 41 countries worldwide.

Fimbles is a preschool live action series aimed at 2 – 4 year old boys and girls about Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom and their friends in Fimbles Valley – Roly Mo, with his library full of stories, Rockit, who’s just got to jump, and Bessie and Ribble.

The programme is inspired by children’s natural curiosity of the world and their magical journey of discovery. Each 20 minute episode sees the Fimbles getting the Fimbling Feeling, when their fingers twinkle, their topknots twitch and their noses wrinkle with excitement and their discoveries lead to a rich mix of games, songs and play.

In each episode, the Fimbles discover a new find. This find marks the start of a fun filled journey of discovery, songs, dancing, games, creative activities, stories, rhymes and imaginative play.

Fimbles revolves around three special creatures that live in a magical valley, which is constantly bathed in a warm, golden light. They have a natural talent for finding things. Before they find something, they get their special Fimbling Feeling – their top knots twitch, their fingers twinkle and their noses wrinkle. They are excited and eager to touch and explore their find for the first time and imagine what it is and how they can play with it.

Fimbles sets a new standard of programming for 2-4 year old children through its extended exploration of the different uses of everyday objects, ones with which our young audience will be familiar. Through the rich mix of imaginative play, where the Fimbles explore their find, real life situations and most importantly through interaction, Fimbles will broaden a young child’s creative thinking and play.
