First 5 LA assigns PR efforts to VPE Public Relations.

VPE Public Relations recently was awarded the contract to support First 5 LA’s goals to promote and develop the early care and education workforce. As part of its four-year contract, VPE will implement a multifaceted approach to support First 5 LA’s high school recruitment and address the challenges facing providers and the industry.
“Having quality, safe, and affordable childcare is a priority for every working parent,” said agency partner Patricia Pérez. “I’m thrilled to be working with First 5 LA on an issue that touches on education, small business management and workforce development.”
The ECE Workforce Development Campaign will include research, developing websites and a comprehensive outreach effort to reach a number of target audiences.
First 5 LA is a child-advocacy organization created by California voters to invest tobacco tax revenues in programs for improving the lives of children in Los Angeles County, from prenatal through age five.
