Flores – Communications Manager @ KMEX-TV & KFTR-TV in LA.

KMEX-TV Univision 34 and KFTR-TV Telefutura 46 appointed Ruthie Flores to the position of Communications Manager on September 10, 2004. In this position, Flores is responsible for managing media relations and internal communications, and assisting with the implementation of community outreach efforts and coordinating special events. Flores reports to Jorge H. Delgado, President and General Manager.
Flores served as Manager of Media Relations for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim where she developed strategies for the issues management team, fostered relationships with the general market and Hispanic media, identified and promoted community and Resort initiatives, and served as the Media Relations bilingual spokesperson.
Prior to working at Disneyland, she served as the 30th Senatorial Educational and Media Relations Representative for Senator Martha Escutia. In that capacity, Flores established relationships with community groups, the media, school districts and universities to improve the academic performance and educational resources for young women, Latinos, and low-income students.
Before her career in state government, Flores was an account executive for Valencia, Pérez & Echeveste, the country’s largest Hispanic-owned public relations agency. She also was a researcher and writer for the international travel guide book, Let’s Go Mexico, covering Cancún, Yucatán, and Chiapas.
