DIRECTV Más, DIRECTV’s Spanish- and English-language programming service, has introduced Foot School TV, an interactive channel dedicated to young Spanish-speaking soccer fans and their parents in the United States, available only on DIRECTV Más.
“Giving our DIRECTV Más customers access to dynamic and innovative Spanish-language programming, like Foot School TV, reinforces DIRECTV’s leadership position in this arena,” said John de Armas, vice president for WorldDirect. “Spanish-language consumers continue to be one of the largest growing segments of our business and Foot School TV provides them with an avenue to improve their technical and tactical knowledge of a sport that so many hold close to their hearts.”
“Foot School TV is a one of a kind experience that enhances the sport of soccer. Never before have players and fans had a one-one-one opportunity to watch and get tips from their favorite players,” said Pablo Vazquez Oria, General Manager for Foot School TV. “This channel also combines both the European and South American schools of soccer so that viewers get the best of both worlds.”
The channel focuses on information critical to the aspiring young soccer player: training, technique, skills, fitness and nutrition, rules of the game and advice from top players. It also offers information and instruction on unique “hybrid” versions of the game, including beach soccer, foot volley and street football, each stressing the inherent beauty of the game.
