FOX Deportes launches ‘Central Fox’ & ‘La Última Palabra’.

FOX Deportes announced the launch of two new shows that change the way Spanish-speaking sports fans watch, breathe and live sports coverage. “Central Fox”, the franchise news property, debuted on Monday, February 20 and provides more than 1200 hours of live sports news programming a year, more than any other network in Spanish language media. “La Última Palabra” debuted on the same day with the collection of the most renowned panelists of any soccer talk show.

Weekday editions of “Central Fox” consists of live 2 hour segments at 8 AM EST, live half-hour segments at 12:00 PM EST and 3:00 PM EST, and live one hour segments at 11:00 PM EST. Three hours of “Central Fox” live airings on weekend days center around event programming. “La Última Palabra” will air seven days a week for one hour at 12:00 AM EST.

On “La Última Palabra,” controversial sports journalist and soccer commentator, André Marín, makes his debut on the network and hosts a rotating panel of high-profile soccer personalities as they analyze and passionately debate the latest controversies in the world of soccer.

“With a career spanning 24 years, including coverage of six World Cups and over a thousand soccer games, we feel that Marín is the perfect choice to serve as the host for ‘La Última Palabra,” said Cordero. “His experience and knowledge will be essential in leading the strongest and most opinionated panel in Spanish language sports media.”

Daniel “El Ruso” Brailovsky, who was celebrated as a player and later as a coach for Mexico’s storied franchise, América, brings a strong following to “La Última Palabra” as a panelist. Other high profile talent include soccer coaches’ Manuel Lapuente and Jose Luis Sanches “Chelis,” along with television personality and former soccer player, Raul Orvañanos.

Fast-paced and visually rich, “Central Fox” consists of a two-anchor sports newscast, supported by a team of beat reporters throughout the United States and Mexico. “Central Fox” will be anchored by well-known sports journalists and FOX Deportes veterans, Alejandro Blanco and Jose Pablo Coello, along with seasoned television reporter and model, Maria Del Valle. Both shows include full on line/on air integration, and engage viewers to participate by posting questions for the hosts on Facebook, the shows’ web sites, and Twitter.
