Fox Sports en Español magazine to launch.

Fox Pan American Sports today announced it has finalized a licensing agreement with Cuatro Media, Inc. (Cuatro Media), a developer of Spanish-language media content, to produce and distribute a monthly magazine titled Fox Sports en Español in the United States. Available in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston through Hispanic newspapers, and nationally via paid subscription, the high-quality, saddle-stitched, full-color Spanish-language sports magazine is scheduled to debut March 23, 2006.

Advertising sales responsibilities for the new venture are assigned to PUBLICITAS-LHM and Fox Sports en Español’s advertising sales team led by Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales Tom Maney.

The Fox Sports en Español Magazine will respect and cater to Latinos’ deep-rooted culture, heritage and passion for sports by offering the highest-quality sports content available for and by Hispanics. Among its many points of differentiation, the magazine’s editorial staff, led by Editor in Chief Luis Viñuales of Cuatro Media.

Adds Viñuales: “Among Hispanics, sports are a deep rooted passion. We created a magazine that respects our readers and takes this passion very seriously. We are particularly excited about launching in this very special year when the soccer and baseball world cups coincide.”

Bolstered by the cable network’s strong brand recognition and category-leading distribution footprint, from day one, the Fox Sports en Español Magazine will be among the most widely distributed Spanish-language magazines in the country. Starting out in six of the top 10 Hispanic DMAs, which were selected based on their large Hispanic populations and high concentration of Hispanic advertising agencies, the Fox Sports en Español Magazine is poised to become the preeminent Spanish-language sports magazine and deliver to advertisers the strongest male composition in the competitive category, as Fox Sports en Español has successfully done since its inception in 1996.

Later in 2006, Fox Pan American Sports will introduce a second title targeting sports enthusiasts across the Spanish-speaking Americas.
