Fox Sports en Español & Pennzoil Closed Captioning Sponsorship Deal.

Fox Sports en Español and Pennzoil have agreed to the first-ever closed captioning sponsorship deal in U.S. Spanish language TV history. The deal was negotiated with Pennzoil’s media agency, Initiative. Under terms of the agreement, the sponsorship will run from April through August 2005.
“We are always looking for new opportunities to connect with our consumers,” said Jeffrey Lack, Director of Pennzoil Brand Marketing. “Hispanic consumers represent a growing portion of our business and Pennzoil is proud to be associated with this effort.”

It’s a win-win partnership.”

Pennzoil will sponsor the following Fox Sports en Español closed captioned programs: Copa Libertadores, Boxeo Profesional, Diario Fox Sports, Fútbol Liga Mexicana, Mexican Soccer-Primera A, Fox Gol Mexico, and Tuzoccer.
