FUSE MEDIA partners with LA Latino International Film Festival

Fuse Media announced its partnership with the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) which will provide viewers of its FAST channel Latino Vibes with exclusive access to premium Latino content.

The partnership is anchored by the launch of the monthly programming block “LALIFF Presents” on Latino Vibes, the premier English-language channel for fans of Latino culture. “LALIFF Presents” will premiere on Friday, May 26th at 8pm and then on every third Friday of the month. For launch, LALIFF has curated a block of their favorite selections from Latino Vibes’ vast film library. New films and docs previously spotlighted at the film festival will make their Latino Vibes premiere in the coming months.

“We’re so excited that LALIFF is partnering with us in our efforts to create a channel where Latino stories are always front and center,” said Miguel Roggero, Chairman and CEO of Fuse Media. “Anyone who’s a fan of Latino culture and talent will love our curated collection of Latino shows, docs, music specials, and now LALIFF’s unique slate of the best in film and television featuring emerging Latino talent.”

With nearly 500 hours of Latino-led, English-language content, Latino Vibes has seen double digit growth every month since its launch (Mar vs. Feb 23 +23%), demonstrating the strong demand for Latino content in English.

“LALIFF’s commitment to proper representation in front and behind the camera for the Latino community is more important now than ever before,” says Academy-Award nominated® actor and co-founder of LALIFF, Edward James Olmos. “Partnering with Fuse Media allows us to continue our commitment to our festival filmmakers by creating new pathways for the exhibition of their stories.”

From Prada to Nada directed by Angel Gracia and Cassandro, the Exotico! directed by Marie Losier will be the first two films to be featured.

Fuse Media will also be a featured partner for LALIFF 2023, providing support for the festival by raising awareness on its different platforms. The festival takes place at the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre and TCL Chinese 6 in Hollywood, CA from May 31 – June 4. LALIFF is presented by the Latino Film Institute (LFI), dedicated to creating infrastructure for equity, diversity, and excellence for the Latino community in the entertainment industry.

Latino Vibes launched last December featuring Latino content including award-winning series such as Hip-Hop Houdini and Mario Lopez One-on-One; big movies and stars including Ana de Armas in Exposed, Rosie Perez in The 24 Hour Woman, Edward James Olmos in A Million to Juan and John Leguizamo in Zig Zag; behind-the scenes music specials with performers like Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars and Enrique Iglesias; and Fuse favorites like Don’t Cancel Me with Amara La Negra, Like Share, Dímelo and The Canvas: Los Angeles.
