Gabriela Borges signs with Univision.

Univision Communications Inc. has announced that they have signed Gabriela Borges, a dynamic 13-year-old with phenomenal singing, acting and dancing talents, a spectacular sense of fashion and the passion and drive to take on the world to a multi-year global licensing and marketing rights deal. 

Inspired by her love of fashion, music and novelas, Borges and Univision will work together to develop and build the Gabriela Borges brand. Univision will mentor the vibrant teenager for the world that lies ahead of her – driven by what excites her most.  Borges will also participate in the development of all that bears her brand. The agreement gives Univision the exclusive rights to represent Borges with global marketing and licensing initiatives which includes branded consumer products, music, tours and more.

Given we have been working with Gaby since age 9, we believe she is precisely the type of young talent that will continue our great tradition, and more importantly speak to today’s generation of young Latinas.”
 
Borges is best known from her roles in novelas “Eva Luna” and “Corazón Valiente” (Fearless Heart); and on Sunday, December 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT she will star as “Virginia” in the Spanish-language adaptation of the classic animated Christmas show, “Si Virginia, un Cuento Navideño” (Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus), also featuring the voices of Don Francisco, Ernesto Laguardia, Blanca Soto and Giselle Blondet. She received the Estrellas del Futuro award at the “Miami Life Awards” in 2012 for her role in “Eva Luna,” where she not only demonstrated incredible acting talents but also displayed her vocal abilities when she performed “Ave Maria” in the final episode. She first appeared on the Univision Network as part of a dance group on the longstanding variety show “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) and “Don Francisco Presenta” (Don Francisco Presents).
