Galán – Home Depot ‘Business Entrepreneur’.

Office Depot has announced its honoring of Nely Galán, Creator and Executive Producer of Fox’s new hit reality series “The Swan” with Office Depot’s prestigious “Business Entrepreneur” Visionary Award.

The award will be presented at the Gala Visionary Award dinner at Office Depot’s Success Strategies for Businesswomen’s Conference taking place this week at the Boca Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida.

The fifth annual conference is recognized as one of the nation’s most prominent and significant events offered annually to female small business owners with more than 1,000 in attendance. Office Depot’s Cindy Campbell, Executive Vice President of Delivery Sales will present the award to Galán.

According to Campbell, Office Depot’s Visionary Awards honor businesswomen whose efforts and noteworthy accomplishments demonstrate their leadership, perseverance and commitment to philanthropy and to better themselves and society. The annual awards are presented at Office Depot’s Success Strategies for Businesswomen’s conference in the following categories: Business Entrepreneur, Corporate, Nonprofit, Pioneer and Sports.

“I am delighted to receive this award and I want to thank Office Depot for this honor,” says Galán. “I have had my own company for 10 years but I have been entrepreneurial since I sold Avon in high school. I am now creating a show for LIFETIME television called MS.MOGUL about women entrepreneurs and their mentors. I believe entrepreneurship is truly the way women can have it all. ”

In addition to receiving the award, Galán is also a featured panelist at the conference during a session entitled, “Building Your Business, Building Your Brand. The session provides attendees with meaningful strategies on how to establish a brand and increase profits. Galán offered insight and a hands-on approach to brand creation and management.
