Univision Communications Inc unveiled the Galavisión Network’s 2006-2007 programming lineup at the network’s Upfront presentation at New York’s Lincoln Center. The new season’s lineup features Galavisión’s first foray into reality TV and four other original, first-run programs.
For the fifth consecutive year, Galavisión has broken its own viewership record delivering the largest Hispanic audience in all of cable. On all key demographics, Galavisión is the #1 cable network for Hispanics regardless of language. Galavisión is the most widely distributed Spanish-language cable network in the United States, available to more than six and a half million Hispanic subscribers and more than 48 million cable and satellite homes across the county. The Network offers more than 50 hours of live news, sports and entertainment programming each week.

NEW PROGRAMS
“Misión: Reportar” premiering next spring, 10 contestants from all over the country with various backgrounds, experience and education will put their skills to the test on this new reality TV show. Contestants will have a chance to receive the job of a lifetime as a reporter and producer for some of Univision Networks’ most popular programs – “Despierta América”, “El Gordo y La Flaca”, “Escandalo TV”, “Contacto Deportivo” and “Acceso Máximo.” (Wednesday 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. ET/PT)

“FIFA World Youth Championship” is the biannual “World Cup” for the top national team’s men’s under-20 squads. Twenty-four teams will earn the right to compete in the this highly anticipated tournament that features some of the biggest up-and-coming superstars of the future in 52 matches over 23 days that will take place in Canada. “FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup” is a fast paced, high-scoring, unique soccer tournament played in bare feet on hot sand under the blazing Brazilian sun – and the competition is as blazing as the burning sand.
