“Gana con Ganas” on WAPA America

WAPA Television will premiere a new original daytime game show, “Gana con Ganas” (I Wanna Win!), which will also air in the U.S. on the station’s cable network arm, WAPA America. The program will debut on Monday, March 2, and will air Monday through Friday at 3pm ET and 3pm local time in Puerto Rico.

The one hour game show, which will offer participants the opportunity to win cash and other prizes, will be hosted by celebrated Puerto Rican Comedians Danilo Beauchamp and Francis Rosas, known for their roles as wannabe reggaeton rappers “Mongui & Pescuezo” on WAPA’s original sketch comedy show, “Risas en Combo,” (Laughs in Combo) and midday variety show, “Pégate al Mediodía” (Stick to Midday).

“We know our audience likes to watch fun and humorous programming during this afternoon timeslot, which is why we chose Danilo and Francis to host the new show,” said Jimmy Arteaga, vice president of programming for WAPA Television. “The two comedians have a large and loyal fan base throughout Puerto Rico and the U.S., and we’re confident they will win viewers’ hearts in this new role.”
