Garibotto named Executive Producer forAl Rojo Vivo at Telemundo.

Telemundo Media announced it named Emmy Award-winner Pilar Garibotto to Executive Producer, “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste,” Telemundo’s popular weekday newsmagazine show. Garibotto will report to Sylvia Rosabal, Senior Vice President of Network News and will be based in Miami.

Garibotto, a 25-year television production veteran in the Hispanic broadcast industry, will lead the “Al Rojo Vivo” production team. In this role, she will supervise all aspects of the creative content and production, including budget and staffing. Garibotto will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational oversight of the show, as well as oversee day-to-day operations of “Al Rojo Vivo.” Additionally, she will be responsible for producing special editions and for cross-promotion of the show.

“Pilar is an industry veteran with decades of proven experience and a keen understanding of what appeals to Hispanic audiences,” said Rosabal. “Her leadership skills will be integral to the overall continued growth of ‘Al Rojo Vivo,’ one of Telemundo’s most successful franchise programs.”

Garibotto joins Telemundo Media from Estrella TVs KRCA Channel 62 in Burbank, California, where she was Executive Producer, Alarma TV since 2011. In this role, she oversaw editorial content and production for the daily national newsmagazine program. From 2004-2011, Garibotto was News Director for KRCA, supervising the news department and editorial content for three daily newscasts. She began at KRCA in 2003 as a News Anchor and Producer.
