Mercury Mambo announced that seasoned marketing executive Rich Garza has joined the firm to oversee the burgeoning MAMBO EVENTS business, launched earlier this year. Garza, who will assume the title of Event Guru brings over a decade of marketing experience to MERCURY MAMBO.
A native Austinite, Garza has spent the last 10 years in New York City, most recently as director of business development at Cornerstone Promotion, a leading lifestyle marketing company, where he won assignments for the agency from: MTV, Hennessey, Miller Brewing and AOL.
Previously, Garza served as director of business development at New York based US Concepts, where he generated over $6 million dollars in revenue from event marketing programs. Key wins included programs from: mtvU, US Cellular, Pokemon USA, T-Mobile, and Best Buy. Garza began his career at sports marketing firm Octagon where he worked on a variety of programs ranging from Senior PGA TOUR golf events to the HORDE Music Festival.
