Gina Oliva-Pinto named VP of Marketing for NBCUniversal Local

Gina Oliva-Pinto has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing for NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal. She will continue to serve as an in-house marketing expert for the division’s local businesses and will be in charge of leading the creative marketing efforts for OTT spaces as the NBC/Telemundo owned stations continue to expand their content across multiple platforms. She will continue to report to Therese Gamba, Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of Acquired Programming, NBCUniversal Local.

A seasoned and award-winning marketer, Oliva-Pinto has more than 20 years of experience leading marketing and promotion campaigns for local and national broadcasters to reach English and Spanish-language consumers and audiences. She joined the NBCUniversal Local division in 2017 from WABC-TV where she worked as a Marketing Producer. Over the past four years, she’s served as an in-house marketing counsel to NBC/Telemundo owned stations’ Creative Services Directors and led the marketing efforts for key division-wide community initiatives including Project Innovation and Clear The Shelters, and is now spearheading the station group’s newest effort, the PAWSitively Good Awards.

Before WABC-TV, Oliva-Pinto worked at Warner Brothers TV Distribution’s affiliate marketing team supporting the “Anderson Live” and “Bethenny” shows. Before this, she worked at local stations FOX5/My 9 New York, WFOR CBS 4/UPN33 Miami and WWOR MyNetwork TV in promotion roles with increasing responsibility. She began her career at WBFS-TV as a promo coordinator.

A winner of various PromaxBDA Awards including a Gold Award for “Station Branding” while at WWOR, she’s also received several nominations for Regional Emmy Awards.
