Giron a- Manager-Latino Public Relations @ Verizon Wireless Western U.S.

Verizon Wireless announced the appointment of Carlos Giovanni Giron as manager of Latino public relations. Giron will be responsible for leading the company’s Latino media and community outreach in the 12 Western states, in further recognition of the increasing popularity of wireless voice and data use by the area’s growing Latino community.

“Carlos’ addition will help us build stronger relationships with Latino media outlets as we communicate our commitment and capabilities to serve the needs of this market,” said Oscar Madrid, Verizon Wireless’ associate director of multicultural marketing for the West Area. “Carlos will ensure that Latino media members receive customized information that is relevant to the audiences they serve.”

Prior to joining Verizon Wireless, Giron served as public relations manager for Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas in charge of travel publicity, Hispanic and corporate communications. Earlier in his career, he was director of communications for CONCACAF, the international soccer organization overseeing 38 national associations in North and Central America and the Caribbean, and later director of Hispanic communications for Major League Soccer, the U.S. professional men’s soccer league.
