Gloria will join Billboard Latin Music Conference.

Gloria Estefan has been confirmed to be featured on the Superstar Q&A session during the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Conference & Awards Presented by State Farm in Association with Pepsi, taking place April 22nd to 25th, at the JW Marriott Marquis in Miami, Florida.

Gloria Estefan will sit with Leila Cobo, Billboard’s Executive Director of Latin Content and Programming, for an in-depth conversation about her new album, her Broadway show, her multiple businesses, and remaining Number 1 on the charts. The Queen of Latin pop, Gloria is credited for being one of the most successful crossover artists of all time. The Cuban-born, Miami-raised performer has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and earned 17 Billboard Latin Music Awards and seven Grammy® awards since debuting as the front woman for what would become the Miami Sound Machine, a band she joined as a teenager upon meeting her now-husband and 19-time Grammy® award winning producer Emilio Estefan, eventually evolving into solo superstardom and a Hispanic female role model. Her successful recording career includes the record for the most No. 1 singles among all female artists in the history of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart with 15 chart-toppers on the list, including “Hoy,” “Si Voy a Perderte,” “Con Los Años Que Me Quedan,” and “Hotel Nacional.” Additionally, her blockbuster album, “Mi Tierra,” continues to hold the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Albums chart, with a stunning 58 weeks at the top of the list. She’s had four straight decades of top 40 hit albums – 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2010, on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Her most recent album, 2011’s “Miss Little Havana” became her 16th chart hit upon its release. Gloria has earned 38 pop hits, including 81 Top 10s and three No. 1s: “Anything For You,” “Don’t Wanna Lose You” and “Coming Out of the Dark” on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Gloria Estefan’s accomplishments transcend the music and entertainment business. She’s a humanitarian-her Gloria Estefan Foundation promotes good health, education and culture. She’s helped raise more than $40 million with the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, creating the world’s largest and most comprehensive spinal cord injury research facility in the Lois Pope LIFE Center. She’s also a best-selling children’s author, with two books based on the life and adventures of Noelle, inspired by and named after her real-life beloved English bulldog. She’s also the first Cuban-American to become a minority share-holder in an NFL franchise, with a stake in her hometown Miami Dolphins team. In 2011, Estefan received the Billboard Latin Music’s Spirit of Hope Award for her philanthropic work with her Foundation.

“Gloria Estefan is an icon. She opened the door to crossover success when the concept didn’t even exist and has been able to maintain that star power ever since, continuing to break Billboard chart records to this day. We are excited about this exclusive interview where she will discuss her new TV projects, the upcoming Broadway show based on her life and of course, her new album, due this Fall,” said Leila Cobo, executive director of Latin Content and Programming for Billboard.
Gloria Estefan joins Colombian superstar Carlos Vives and a lineup of key industry leaders who are also scheduled to participate in the conference.
