GolTV to broadcast the Dutch Eredivisie.

GolTV has secured broadcast rights to the Eredivisie (Dutch pronunciation – _e_.r_.di._vi.zi), the highest futbol league in the Netherlands. The Eredivisie league, also known ad the “Honorary Division”, will strengthen GolTV’s European soccer portfolio with exclusive live matches every weekend starting in its new season this August.
For over a decade the Netherlands has consistently ranked among the top ten nations in the FIFA Rankings. “With the addition of the Netherlands, GolTV now has three of the top five ranked countries in its weekly lineup.” said Constantino Voulgaris, GolTV’s EVP of Programming and New Business Development; “GolTV is committed to providing top quality leagues and the Eredivisie is definitely one to follow.” The league consists of 18 clubs and holds 6 Champions League titles; AFC Ajax are the current Eredivisie league champions and hold the most championships with a total of 32 national titles “The Eredivisie league has some of the best players in professional futbol and we are excited to offer this first-class UEFA property to our subscribers and media partners.”
