Fernando Gómez, an art director/copywriter who joined d expósito & Partners, LLC as Associate Creative Director in the summer of 2011, has been promoted to Creative Director of the company.
“Gómez understands that as our industry is undergoing major transformations, the drivers of creativity are becoming more complex,” said Jorge Ulla, Partner/Chief Ideation Officer, who made the announcement in New York. “Beyond ideas that create engagement with consumers, clients expect agencies to lead with breakthrough strategic invention and want to see creativity emanating from all disciplines in a concerted way with digital dynamizing the Total Solution,” added Ulla.
Gómez has shared as recipient of two Gold, two Silver and two Bronze Effies for effective advertising; eight Gold Addy Awards; and various recognitions from the Art Directors Club. Born in Mexico City, he is a graduate of UNAM University with a BFA in Visual Communications and a degree in Marketing and Advertising from ENAP. He is proud to have received a “Best Student of Mexico” medal from the hands of President Carlos Salinas de Gortari, as well as the “Gabino Barreda” medal given by the UNAM.
Prior to joining d expósito & Partners, Fernando had worked for other prestigious agencies such as López Negrete in Houston, Texas where he worked as ACD on the Miller Lite account and on the team that helped get the Verizon business for that agency. His agency experience started at JWT México, followed by LatinWorks in Austin, Texas, Zubi Advertising in Miami, and La Agencia de Orcí in Los Angeles.
“I moved to New York for the challenge of Manhattan and the opportunity of working for an iconic agency that has the vision of seeing itself as The New American Agency™,” says Gómez. “Gradually, with the talent and passion of its team, d expósito & Partners is becoming just that,” he concluded.
