‘Got Milk?’ partners with Taekwondo World Champion – Steven Lopez.

This summer, the Hispanic Milk Mustache ‘got milk?’ campaign will be partnering with world class athlete, Steven Lopez, to launch the “Arranca Con Energia” program at YMCA summer camps across the country.  The program designed to remind Hispanic families about the importance of starting their busy and active summer mornings with a good, nutritious breakfast will also provide nearly 1,000 camp goers with a healthy breakfast that includes milk. In addition to the events, ‘got milk?’ will be hosting daily promotions on ProyectoDesayuno.com, where three daily winners will take home summer items to help their families have a fun and active summer and a lucky grand prize winner will win an all expense-paid trip to the Cayman Islands for an ultimate summer adventure.

Steven Lopez — who will be heading to London to compete in taekwondo will be on hand at each event to encourage kids to start their day off right with a nutritious breakfast including milk so they have energy and essential nutrients they need to enjoy all of the club’s summer camp activities. He will also share some of his favorite Taekwondo moves with all the camp goers.

“I am thrilled and honored to be a part of the ‘got milk?’ campaign. As an athlete, I have benefited from eating the right foods and nourishing my body with the nutrients it needs to perform at its best,” said Lopez. He added, “To be able to share my experience with future generation of athletes, especially Hispanic athletes, is a great honor for me.”

The Hispanic Milk Mustache ‘got milk?’ campaign will also award $15,000 to cover the cost of summer camp sessions for Hispanic families at these participating YMCA affiliate clubs – North Pointe YMCA Family Center in Miami, Langham Creek Family YMCA in Houston and the West Side Y/Grosvenor Neighborhood House in New York City.
