Grupo Hall Comunicaciones Launches In Las Vegas.

Hall Communications, a Las Vegas-based marketing firm, announced the creation of a new company. Grupo Hall Comunicaciones is a new full-service, strategic advertising agency that will market products and services directly to the Hispanic marketplace in Nevada and California.

With offices in both Las Vegas and Los Angeles, the new company is the first in Las Vegas to develop a concerted, strategic effort to market to the Hispanic population. The company is loosely affiliated with Hall Communications, but will operate as a wholly separate business.

The response to Grupo Hall has been immediate. “No sooner had we launched the company than we were getting phone calls and meetings with forward-looking companies who understand the potential of the Hispanic marketplace,” said Josef Vann, who was named Managing Director of the new agency. “Smart companies will jump in head first now. Everyone else will be followers.”

Vann was recruited from Los Angeles to launch Grupo Hall. Vann brings a vast knowledge of Hispanic and multicultural marketing to the agency. He was vice president of multicultural media at Western International Media (now Initiative Media North-America), the largest multicultural media firm in the United States. Recently, Vann managed the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American division of a leading Internet advertising company, and he was a sales and marketing consultant for Hispanic Broadcasting Company.

Announcing the new company, Hall Communications President Mick Hall said, “There is a clear need for effective, strategic Hispanic marketing in the U.S. and specifically in the southwest. We watched the industry, and it seemed that ad agencies were finding someone on staff who spoke Spanish and then proclaimed themselves to be Hispanic marketing experts. Nothing could be more insulting to the target market. We wanted to do this the right way. We took nearly 18 months to find exactly the right person with the depth of experience the job requires, and we found that in Joe Vann.”

Vann continued, “Add to that the fact that Las Vegas has the fastest growing Hispanic population of any city in the U.S., and one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the world, and the need for thoughtful, insightful Hispanic marketing becomes very clear.”
