December 30, 2005
GLR Networks empowers affiliate stations with a culturally charged lineup in their 2005-2006 Special Reports. The calendar features 15 one hour special reports, with a fresh look at topics ranging from, the message the Guadalupe Virgin revealed, to how a group of courageous Mexican soldiers defeated the most powerful army of their day.
Launched on September 16, 2005 with Mexican Independence Day, the calendar continues through October 12, 2006 with Dia de La Hispanidad. Other reports will focus on traditional holidays, such as The Magic of Navidad and Cinco de Mayo, and how they are relevant to the Hispanic community living in the United States. The programs also feature interviews with special guests, music and a closer look at the real history behind each holiday.
The GLR 2005 – 2006 Specials will be hosted by the brilliant Max Aub, who has a solid 20 year trajectory in journalism with Televisa, Azteca Television, Grupo Radio Acir, and Telemundo and currently serves as the Director of News Content for GLR. The show is co-hosted by Ricky Luis who has risen to fame both in Mexico, with Televisa Radio and TV, and the US, with Telemundo.
