Grupo Latino de Radio coverage of First Division Soccer Matches from Mexico.

Starting in August, Grupo Latino de Radio (GLR), in a joint venture with Estadio W in Mexico, will provide live coverage of Mexican First Division soccer matches in Torneo de Apertura 2006-2007. GLR’s reporting comprises some of the most coveted teams in the league, including last tournament’s champion, Pachuca, as well as Cruz Azul, Morelia, Santos and Tecos. The season starts with 17 “Jornadas” (weeks) of qualifying games.

In making the announcement, CEO of GLR Networks, Juan Pablo Álvarez, stated, “We are pleased to continue delivering the most popular sport for Mexicans living in the U.S. Our broadcast is produced exclusively for our listeners directly from Mexico. It’s a great opportunity for advertisers”.

Francisco Javier González of Estadio W, also added, “We are excited to once again reach listeners outside of Mexico through GLR Networks. Inside and outside Mexico, we all share the same enthusiasm for this fantastic sport.”
