Grupo Latino de Radio Networks coverage of Fútbol Mexicano Playoffs.

Grupo Latino de Radio Networks (GLR), in a joint venture with Estadio W in Mexico, continues their coverage of Futbol Mexicano playoff games beginning Thursday May 4th. The playoff games, Monarcas vs. Pachuca and Cruz Azul vs. Toluca, include highly popular teams. GLR will air the matches this week directly from Mexico, produced by Estadio W, exclusively for US Hispanic radio listeners.

The GLR broadcasts are part of the second half of the 2005-2006 season (“Torneo de Clausura 2005-2006”).

La Liguilla (the playoffs) schedule will air as follows:

Monarcas vs. Pachuca – Thursday May 4th 7:30PM ET / 4:30 PM PT

Cruz Azul vs. Toluca – Saturday May 6th 5:30PM ET / 2:30 PM PT

Monarcas vs. Pachuca – Sunday May 7th 5:30PM ET / 2:30 PM PT

The GLR radio game broadcasts also include highlights, commentaries, in-depth interviews and a look at upcoming matches led by Francisco Javier Gonzalez and his team from Estadio W.

Radio stations carrying the coverage include: W RADIO 690 AM – Los Angeles/San Diego, KGBC-Houston, KNUV-Phoenix, KTNO-Dallas, KNRV-Denver, WEEF-Chicago, KIRT-McAllen, WNTF-Orlando, KMZZ-Corpus Christi, WPWC-Washington, KMRI-Salt Lake City, KNTO/KCFA-Fresno/Stockton, WLIM-Long Island and WAZX-Atlanta.

Information and reports on the games will also be provided to GLRs affiliate stations on the syndicated shows Pasion W (M-F) and Carrusel Deportivo (Sundays).

Other GLR Sports programs include weekday feature Minuto Mundialista and Pasion Mundialista, a one hour program to be launched June 9th, covering soccer and every country’s quest for the most coveted cup.
