Jackie Bird, President and CEO of Winglatino, announced the agency has hired Gustavo Asman as new Chief Creative Officer.
Mr. Asman has an impressive collection of creative awards to his name. Mr. Asman’s most recent work continues to confirm that award-winning creative is not only compatible with, but is also responsible for, business-building results. Mr. Asman was Creative Director of Papa John’s Pizza campaign “Door Viewer” in Perú, which won 3 Golds at the Cannes Festival and the Grand Prix at Ojo de Iberoamérica this year. This campaign also helped increase sales by approximately 80% during the duration of the initiative. For the introduction of Brahma Beer also in Perú, after that country’s 120-year local beer monopoly was dismantled, Winglatino’s new creative Chief developed a campaign which helped the brand capture 20% of the market in just a few months.
“Winglatino is thrilled to welcome Gustavo to our team”, said Ms. Bird. “After an extensive search across the U.S., Latin America and Spain, we found in Gustavo’s creative approach and philosophy a great match with Winglatino. His leadership and strong reputation for outstanding and insightful creative work complement our team superbly. Gustavo’s successful track record speaks volumes and his contributions to our work will strongly enhance our capability to help our clients connect with Latinos in the U.S.”

It is exciting to join this agency’s amazing team, which has been instrumental in the agency’s rapid growth in the last three years, both from new clients, such as Goya Foods, as well as existing relationships like Procter & Gamble, Diageo, Kmart and U.S. Bank, among others. Winglatino’s has its finger on the pulse of the expanding Latino market, and that’s a key element in the process of building communications that create an emotional link between our brands and their targets in this market”.
Prior to his designation at Winglatino, Asman stood out as Executive Creative Director at Quorum/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi in Perú. His professional trajectory encompasses work at some of the best-known advertising agencies in the business such as J. Walter Thompson, Graffiti/DMB&B and Pragma/FCB, and as a Creative Director and Executive Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather and CP Comunicación Proximity/BBDO in Argentina.
