Gutierrez Brand Group expands team

San Diego based Gutierrez Brand Group, (GBG) is adding new staff to serve both existing and new clients in need of Total Market advertising and marketing.
“For many consumer brands the Total Market continues to evolve towards a multi-cultural approach and we see this as a strong opportunity to grow our expertise in the Total Market while also continuing to leverage our strong experience with multicultural consumers,” said Guillermo Gutierrez, President of Gutierrez Brands Group, a full service agency with extensive brand strategy development, retail marketing and event marketing experience.
To leverage this new opportunity and target Total Market consumers, GBG is adding proven brand builder Timm Amundson as Chief Strategy Officer for the agency. “We are excited to leverage Timm’s significant experience in reaching the General Market audience for major brands that need to speak to a wide range of consumers,” added Gutierrez.
Amundson brings more than 20-years of experience and has developed comprehensive marketing campaigns that have driven significant growth for major CPG brands. Amundson helped develop comprehensive marketing strategy and programming to help launch Corona Beer’s iconic beach image and drive double digit growth for many years across all consumer markets. He has also developed breakthrough advertising creative, sponsorships and programming to foster the explosive growth of Modelo Especial beer and other beer brands in the U.S. market among Hispanic and General Market consumers.
“Having previously worked with several members of the team I am excited to join GBG and their impressive creative team to continue to leverage the Total Market opportunity for leading clients and brands,” said Amundson, who will be based in Chicago. “The multi-cultural and General Markets continue to intermingle and overlap and marketers must develop campaigns that recognize this continuing trend and fully leverage it to grow brands. Today, with often limited resources, brands need to speak to multiple consumer market segments and in some cases they might be best served by doing that with a single, hard-working campaign. In other cases brands may need to develop separate campaigns that focus on unique audiences and we have the expertise to do that as well.”
