Harris Bank Hosts Forum: Road to Healing / Camino a La Recuperacion.

On Tuesday, December 11, the three-month anniversary of the September 11 tragedies, Harris Bank’s Hispanic Banking Group will host a special community forum in Spanish called “A Road to Healing/Camino A La Recuperacion.”

The event is open to the public and attendance is free. “A Road to Healing/Camino a La Recuperacion” will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Piotrowski Park, 4247 West 31st Street in Chicago. The forum will feature a panel of experts who will provide insights into local and national issues since September 11. Panelists also will be available to answer any questions from the attendees. The panel featured at the forum will include:

— Esther Sciammarella, Department of Health, City of Chicago

— Belinda Rosenberger, Latin America Manager, American Airlines

— Alberto Azpe, Hispanic Banking Group, Harris Bank

— Caren Ex, License Clinical Social Worker

“We realize everyone’s lives have been affected, either directly or indirectly, by September’s horrific events and that we are now living in a time of uncertainty,” says Alberto Azpe, President, Hispanic Banking, Harris Bank. “This is a way for us to create a unique opportunity for people to interact with one another, share questions, thoughts and emotions as well as discuss what the future may look like for all of us.”

“We want this special program to help the community as they cope with the challenges all around us,” Mr. Azpe explains. “We’ve always provided the financial tools, now I hope we are can provide some comfort in addressing concerns brought on as a result of September 11.”
