Hispanic Magazine growing English Language Multicultural Magazine.

In the past two years, Hispanic Magazine has undergone content and design changes that have attracted a much younger readership demographic as well as increased their readership pool by targeting female achievers.

The magazine’s overall changes have produced significant shifts in readership in the past two years. According to Simmons, Hispanic Magazine’s readership growth has increased by 36% from 2005 to 2006, making it the fastest growing English-language multicultural magazine in the U.S1.
With an increase in readership the magazine has also seen an attractive shift in readership demographics. In the past year the magazine’s readers have become much younger. In 2005 Hispanic Magazine’s readers’ average age was 42 and in 2006 the average age decreased to 392. In addition, the gender demographics have also shifted in the past year, with a growth in female readership from 2005 to 2006 of 21%3.

“The growth in readership is attributed to the dynamic editorial changes and repositioning to a younger target reader for this emerging bi-cultural market that is nearly untapped on a national print level”, said Mariano M. Faget, Publisher of Hispanic Magazine.

Hispanic Magazine will also be increasing its rate base 5% to 315,000 (ABC audited) as of the February 2008 issue.
