Hobson – Sr. VP & Chief Strategic Officer.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that Andrew W. Hobson has been promoted to Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer.

In this role, Hobson will be principally responsible for leading the Company’s long-term strategic direction and planning efforts across its four business units: Television, Radio, Music and Internet. He will continue to supervise business development for the Company, including identifying and facilitating acquisition opportunities, business and technology investments, and other growth initiatives in order to further enhance shareholder value.

Mr. Hobson has been an Executive Vice President of Univision Communications Inc. since 1993. From 1990 through 1993, he was a Principal at Chartwell Partners, Univision’s controlling shareholder. Prior to joining Chartwell, Mr. Hobson was a Vice President in the investment banking group of Bankers Trust Co., where he was employed from 1984 to 1990.
