Hollywood Familia.

Entertainment owner and CEO Frank Aragon and his new partner Ken Sitnick are seeking backing for their up and coming theatrical release of Hollywood Familia. The film will open in limited release on Dec 8, 2006 in Los Angeles, Calif. in order to qualify for nomination consideration in the 79th Annual Academy Awards (AMPAS). The Latin/Jewish duo produced the picture earlier this year.

Hollywood Familia, a Dramatic comedy, is the story of four women living under the same roof dealing with their own demons, an unfaithful husband and a soap star who’s untimely visit manages to get him stuck in the middle of it all. The film stars Renee Victor (Weeds), the films screenwriter Doralicia Sitnick, Larissa Asuaje, Priscilla Medina, Scott Roberts, Carlos Montilla and Lilly Melgar.

“We have a wonderful supporting performance from one of our actors Renee Victor and an original song by Willman Morcillo of the same title “Hollywood Familia” says Frank Aragon a native Angelino originally from the tough streets of Boyle Heights, and also the producer/director of the film.

In a year that saw only Nacho Libre which starred Jack Black a non-Latino in the lead role, the recent Quinceañera and Goal, its been a pretty dry season for the largely untapped English speaking Latino market representing over 9 billion dollars in strength.
