How to watch The Olympic Games on Telemundo

Telemundo, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, presents its most comprehensive live coverage and unprecedented multiplatform offerings of the Summer Games of the XXXIII Olympiad starting two days before the Opening Ceremony with the Men’s Soccer Competition on July 24 through August 11.
More than 315 hours of coverage will be available across Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, Telemundo.com and Telemundo App. Telemundo’s digital platforms will also feature more than 2,000 short-form pieces of content including highlights, recaps, interviews and color from Paris across Telemundo.com, Telemundo App, and @TelemundoDeportes on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok and YouTube.
Following are all the ways for U.S. viewers to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics in Spanish:
OPENING CEREMONY
- For the first time, Telemundo will present live coverage of the Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26, beginning at 1 p.m. ET through 6 p.m. ET.
- Telemundo’s Opening Ceremony coverage, in which the organizers are turning one of the world’s most famous waterways, the River Seine, into the world’s biggest theatrical stage with a flotilla of nearly 100 boats carrying the athletes past hundreds of thousands of spectators.
- Coverage will be led by Telemundo Olympics hosts Emmy award-winning sports anchor Miguel Gurwitz and entertainment anchor Jessica Carrillo and Noticias Telemundo’s Julio Vaqueiro.
- In addition to Opening Ceremony, Vaqueiro will be presenting the evening news live from Paris, reporting on all news including the biggest Paris 2024 headlines of the day.
- Plans for the highly anticipated Opening Ceremony in Paris are unlike any other. The Opening Ceremony will be taken outside the confines of a traditional stadium on the River Seine and feature celebrations, the lighting of the Olympic cauldron, and more.
- Mexican actor and producer Gael García Bernal sets the scene with “Momentos que Marcan”, an inspiring opening essay characteristic of Telemundo’s production of premier global events, celebrating the reasons Olympic athletes endure the struggle and dedication to give the world moments that matter.
TELEMUNDO AND UNIVERSO
- With Paris six hours ahead of the United States’ eastern time zone, the daytime takeover will feature that day’s most popular events live on Telemundo in the morning and afternoon. Marking the 20 years of Olympic coverage on Telemundo, Paris 2024 will have more programming hours than ever before on the Telemundo broadcast network than any previous Olympics.
- On most days, Telemundo will provide Olympic fans at least 6 hours of daytime coverage of the Summer Games and up to 12 hours of programming on soccer days spearheaded by the largest Olympic commentary team in network history led by Copan Alvarez and Carlota Vizmanos in addition to Gurwitz and Carrillo.
- Telemundo and Universo will present more than 315 hours of live competitions and daily recap specials.
- In addition, at the beginning of each day, as well as during the events coverage, the Olympic hosts will provide news updates, present athlete profiles and color stories that will bring the fans closer to Paris.
- Telemundo will present a two-hour late-night show highlighting the best Olympic stories of the day, every weekday at 12 a.m. ET beginning Friday, July 26 through Sunday, August 11 hosted by Veronica Rodriguez and Freddy Lomelí.
- Telemundo will be the home of Fútbol Olímpico, the soccer destination to watch more matches than ever before from both Men’s and Women’s tournaments live en español starting two days before the Opening Ceremony on July 24 through August 11 across Telemundo, Universo and Peacock.
PEACOCK
- Peacock will livestream all Telemundo and Universo programming, offering the most extensive Spanish-language streaming experience for the Olympics in U.S. media history.
- In addition to the live events, Peacock will feature 150 hours of full-event replays and premium short-form content in Spanish curated for Hispanic audiences around the most relevant events, athletes, and countries competing in Paris.
