Retailers of all shapes and sizes are embracing Personalized Priority Messaging via the SMS mobile channel for its ability to play a key role in wowing their customers, whether through mobile marketing campaigns, direct response sales, pre- and after-sales support and even customer loyalty program management. There are more than 5 billion mobile phones in use today, and in 2012 there’ll be more than 6 billion if the current growth rates persist. The proliferation of mobile technologies, including the iPhone, Android or other handset applications and the mobile web experience are exciting, but mask a very important and easily forgotten fact: there is only one non-voice mobile technology that can enable you to communicate with all mobile phones today – text messaging via the short message service (SMS).
