Also elected as president was Tom Eppes, president and CEO of PriceMcNabb, Charlotte, N.C., to lead the $3 billion network for the next two years.
Those elected to represent other geographic regions were: Europe/Middle East/Africa Regional Director Patrick Walhain, Dassas Group, Paris; European/Middle East/Africa Director-at-Large Frans Passet, WPC, Amsterdam; Asia/Pacific Regional Director Willie Garcia, Adformatix, Manila, the outgoing president; Asia/Pacific Director-at-Large David Walker, Walkers Advertising, Auckland; North American Regional Director Frank Weyforth, Weyforth-Haas Marketing, Kansas City. Mr. Eppes also will serve as director-at-large from North America.
“This is a very exciting time for ICOM as we see a growing interest in three areas where the network excels: integrated marketing, extraordinary understanding of local markets, and rapid response to client needs,” Mr. Eppes said.
The primary role of the ICOM board is to set network policy and approve the annual budget. Board members volunteer their time without compensation to help the network grow and develop. They also assist in recruiting and approving applications for agency membership.
