Interep & Spanish Broadcasting System ‘The Power of Hispanic Radio’ Seminar.

Interep IREP and Spanish Broadcasting System SBSA will host their first Power of Hispanic Radio symposium on October 4, 2002 in New York City at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM. The event, opened to members of the advertising community, is expected to attract over 300 advertisers, media decision-makers and multi-cultural marketers.

The event will kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with a mix of speakers, panel discussions and live musical entertainment from some of the top names in Latin radio. Topics will focus on the burgeoning U.S. Hispanic consumer market and Hispanic Radio’s role in multi-cultural marketing efforts.

“More than ever, advertisers are recognizing the importance of covering the Hispanic segment of their customer base with culturally relevant and highly targeted media, such as Spanish-language radio,” said Raul Alarcon, President and CEO of Spanish Broadcasting System. “Both SBS and Interep have been at the forefront of marketing Hispanic Radio to the advertising community for many years. We are delighted to co-sponsor our first interactive forum and improve the understanding and appreciation of the Latino radio.”

Peter Doyle, President of Interep Independent added, “In today’s increasingly diverse consumer landscape, discovering effective ways to integrate Hispanic-marketing efforts into overall business strategy is a top priority for most companies. We’re proud to represent many of the top Hispanic stations through our partnership with Spanish Broadcasting System. This is the perfect platform to collectively educate the advertising community about the many facets of Hispanic Radio — formats dedicated to serving the U.S. Latino community.”

The agenda includes leaders in the fields of Hispanic marketing, media and research, featuring keynote speaker Isabel Valdes, author and well-known pioneer in multi-cultural marketing and research. Other participants include: Roslow Research, Arbitron Radio Research, Vidal Partnership, The Bravo Group, Spanish Broadcasting System, and All Access Entertainment Events, to name a few.
