Jackie Bird

Those that know Jackie Bird know she’s an energy-filled powerhouse and an accomplished professional who has shattered multiple glass ceilings throughout her career. She paved the way for female professionals at Procter & Gamble in Puerto Rico, where she became the first female brand manager on the marketing team. Later, she made history as the first woman to be named President by a global ad agency parent company in Latin America, and also the first female member of the agency’s Executive Committee for the region, while working at Grey Advertising.

Jackie’s leadership skills were instrumental in the reorganization, repositioning and growth of Grey’s Hispanic subsidiary in the U.S. – WING Latino. With Jackie at the helm, WING Latino achieved year-over-year double-digit growth over her tenure, becoming a multicultural center of excellence for Grey’s U.S. and Latin American clients. In 2009, Jackie tapped her entrepreneurial instincts and founded RedBean Society, a cross-cultural advisory firm on marketing strategy that helps clients maximize growth by building bridges across the cultures they serve.

Her impressive accomplishments are grounded on three pillars: her father’s wisdom in preparing her to be self-sufficient and compete in a male-dominated world, her mother’s fearless spirit, and her own passion for the work that earned her the respect of her clients, peers, and employees.

Jackie’s keen intellect, strategic thinking and commitment to multiculturalism has undoubtedly helped shape our industry, even today. From 2008 to 2009, she was the Chair of the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies, now the Hispanic Marketing Council, and she continues as an active leader and proponent that introduces new clients and brands to our space. She is a strong believer in the power of young women to make a difference for future generations to come. Her mentorship and guidance are invaluable to those who seek to follow in her footsteps, and she remains a shining example of what can be achieved through determination, hard work, and a commitment to excellence.
