Javier Garcia named GM of U.S. Hispanic, Yahoo!

Javier Garcia has been named general manager of the U.S. Hispanic business and operations for Yahoo!, and is responsible for leading, growing and developing Yahoo!’s Hispanic-facing media and advertising business.
Prior to his current role, Javier was the market development director for Yahoo! Hispanic Americas. He also served as the head of media & entertainment consistently delivering double-digit audience and engagement growth across Yahoo!’s entertainment and information channels in the region.
Before joining Yahoo!, Javier was the director of media and mobile strategy at Diamond Advisory Services, a management consulting firm focused on the intersection of business strategy and technology for Fortune 500 companies. He also held positions with early stage wireless, cable TV, and systems integration start-ups in Latin America and management positions in consumer marketing and eCommerce with Sprint |Nextel in the United States.
