Entravision Communications Corporation announced the appointment of John F. DeLorenzo as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, 2003. Mr. DeLorenzo replaces Jeanette Tully, who will retire from the company at the end of the year.
Walter Ulloa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Entravision, commented, “We are pleased to welcome John to the Entravision management team. He is a seasoned financial executive with an impressive track record in serving media companies. A familiar face among broadcasting analysts and investors, John brings to Entravision over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial systems management, as well as in negotiating and integrating acquisitions. We look forward to benefiting from John’s expertise as we focus on strengthening our presence in the nation’s fastest growing Hispanic markets.”
Mr. DeLorenzo commented, “Entravision has assembled an enviable group of media assets serving one of the fastest growing and most attractive consumer groups in the nation. Mr. DeLorenzo has over 20 years of financial management experience primarily serving companies in the media and real estate industries. Most recently a media investment banking consultant, his previous experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of television broadcaster Paxson Communications in 1999. Prior to joining Paxson, he was the owner of Trenwest Development LLC, a residential real estate company. From 1988 to 1996, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Act III Communications, a broadcasting, publishing and movie theater exhibition holding company. Earlier in his career, he served in various financial management capacities at Renaissance Communications (1985-1988) and Fox Television Stations, Inc. (1983-1985). He began his career as an auditor and enforcement officer with the New Jersey Gaming Enforcement Division (1980-1983). A Certified Public Accountant, he holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Rider University and is currently finishing his MBA degree from Cornell’s Johnson School of Management.
