Jorge Ramos ‘Noticiero Univision’ Recipient of Ronald H. Brown Award.

Jorge Ramos, seven-time Emmy award-winning news co-anchor for ‘Noticiero Univision’ (Univision’s National News), was honored by the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC) with its 2002 Ronald H. Brown Award. This award memorializes Ronald Brown’s Chairmanship of the NCLC and his work on behalf of children and youth. Jorge Ramos, a ell-respected public figure and distinguished journalist, was acknowledged by the NCLC for his success in overcoming poverty, discrimination and prejudice in his lifetime and his use of his celebrity status to help young people do the same.
The award was presented on Monday, November 18, 2002, at the Museum of Television & Radio in New York City in conjunction with the NCLC’s Lewis Hine Awards for unheralded service to children and youth.
