Jose Cuervo will celebrate the highly anticipated kick-off of the most important international soccer tournament on the planet with events across the United States. Jose Cuervo Tradicional has called up a team of eleven stars to suit up and join fans at Pep Rallies and Viewing Parties taking place in Chicago, Las Vegas, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Denver, from June 10-12, 2010. As official sponsor of US Soccer and the Mexican National Team, the brand is culminating its three-year campaign that uses soccer as a vehicle to promote social responsibility.
The festivities begin on June 10th, as five Mexican soccer legends host rallies to motivate fans to support their team on the eve of their historic inaugural match. Pavel Pardo, Ramon Ramirez, Benjamin Galindo, Martin Zuniga and Rafael “Chiquis” Garcia will also host Viewing Parties the morning of June 11th joining billions of people around the globe to watch Mexico vs. South Africa. The following day, June 12th, five former US Soccer Team players will host Viewing Parties to watch USA play against England. Joe Max-Moore, Paul Caliguiri, Kevin Hartman, Chris Armas and Thomas Dooley will joins fans in the festivities. Topping off the Jose Cuervo soccer roster is Alfonso “Poncho” de Anda, the Mexican-born television celebrity, television host, and avid soccer fan who will symbolically captain the Chicago parties, joining Pavel Pardo to energize the crowds in the “Windy City.”
“This is a very important moment for those of us who love soccer and support the Mexican National Team. I am proud to join Jose Cuervo Tradicional in this major celebration, particularly since we are promoting a message of responsibility,” says Pavel Pardo. “It is an honor to represent Mexico on the world stage. Each one of us will proudly promote celebrate our culture wherever we are,” adds the soccer legend.
Pavel Pardo, who will travel to Chicago for the Jose Cuervo events, wore the green jersey during the 2006 international tournament, participated in the 2010 qualifiers and is an active player with Club America. In Chicago, Pardo will be joined by famed television star Poncho de Anda at the brand’s main events which will gather hundreds of soccer fanatics at Chitown Arena.

The Pep Rallies on June 10th will include soccer-related activities, interactive games, fan contests, giveaways, prizes, and the opportunity to meet some of the great Mexican soccer legends. On the morning of June 11th, the Mexican team Viewing Parties will be hosted by the former players to provide fans a chance to watch the game on television with hundreds of fans.
