mun2 announced the appointment of Sara Kantathavorn to the position of Director of Talent & Artist Relations, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Flavio Morales, Vice President of Programming for mun2, to whom Kantathavorn will report.
“Sara brings to mun2 an incredible mix of experience within the youth, music and media spaces, as well as well-established relationships in the industry and the ability to spot ‘the next big thing,’” said Morales. “As Director of Talent & Artist Relations, she’s an instrumental addition to the team as we continue to develop and grow the mun2 brand.”
In her new position, to be based in Los Angeles, Kantathavorn will be responsible for managing music initiatives for the mun2 platform by developing and maintaining relationships within the music industry including record companies, artists, publishers and managers. In addition, she will be charged with procuring artist appearances for all mun2 platforms, securing content for programming and production needs, creating marketing campaigns and strategies to launch and promote product across all mun2 platforms and facilitate the creative placement of music across all mun2 programming and dayparts.
She will also work closely with the production and music programming departments to guide content and artist development as well as the marketing and press departments for events and publicity.
Prior to joining mun2, Kantathavorn was most recently working as a senior publicist on a freelance basis for Los Angeles-based Platform Public Relations where she represented some of Hollywood’s most prominent and up-and-coming talent and served as a liaison between celebrities and media. Simultaneously, she worked as an independent talent booker where she worked on high-profile events including the 2007 Golden Globes and Sundance Film Festival, and Cirque Du Soleil’s Delirium opening night.
