KBNT-TV Univision In San Diego Expands Its News Coverage To Weekends.

KBNT 17 Univision in San Diego will begin airing a 6pm and 11pm weekend local newscast to complement their existing weekday local newscasts. Tania Luviano and Carlos Sanchez will anchor the new expanded weekend coverage. “Noticias Fin de Semana” will feature hard news, interviews, sports, community events and entertainment updates – continuing KBNT’s tradition of providing relevant, timely, and informative news to the San Diego Hispanic community. “The expansion to weekend news further strengthens our commitment to the San Diego Hispanic Community”, says KBNT 17 General Manager, Alberto Mier y Terán.

KBNT 17 has been covering the San Diego market with local news for almost 6 years, with its first newscast beginning in May of 1997. Since then, KBNT 17’s local news has quickly become the #1 Spanish-language local newscast among San Diego Hispanics.
