Kellogg School Of Management To Expand LatAM Educational Effort.

The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University announced several new initiatives as part of its strategic global expansion campaign to better serve management education needs worldwide. These initiatives, solidified during a recently held retreat of senior academic department chairs and administrators, are designed to globally enhance the Kellogg School brand presence and further expand its extensive international portfolio of degree and non-degree executive education offerings in the Asian, European and Latin American marketplaces.

“Following a review of the current Kellogg School executive programs, the senior management committee agreed that it is time to build on the successes of our Executive MBA programs in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and North America,” said Dipak C. Jain, dean of the Kellogg School of Management. “Therefore, the next logical addition to the Kellogg School’s global offerings will be a strong focus on Mexico and Latin America.”

Miami-based program for the Americas The Kellogg School’s global expansion campaign includes the establishment of a Miami-based program for Executive MBA (EMBA) and non-degree executive education with a focus on serving Mexico, Central and South America and the Caribbean markets. The Miami campus, expected to open in the fall of 2005, will use the same successful methods that are the foundation of the existing Kellogg School North American EMBA programs held on the Northwestern University campus in suburban Chicago. The Kellogg EMBA program has been ranked number one by BusinessWeek and U.S. News and World Report for more than a decade.

“All of these programs will give the Kellogg School access to companies in markets around the world and allow us to bring the Kellogg faculty expertise to bear on a range of business problems,” said Dean Jain. “Additionally, these new initiatives will effectively allow Kellogg to refine its best practices and its existing models for management education and leadership in the global economy.”
