Keoseyan re-joins ImpreMedia as Publisher of La Raza Newspaper in Chicago.

ImpreMedia announced the appointment of Ruben Keoseyan as Publisher of La Raza newspaper, Chicago’s premier Spanish-language weekly.

Not entirely new to the ImpreMedia team, in 2000, Keoseyan began a five-year term at ImpreMedia’s Los Angeles daily, La Opinión, where he was Managing Editor and in 2004, he was promoted to Executive Editor of largest Spanish-language daily in the country.

“It’s great to have Ruben back at ImpreMedia. He is a terrific media executive and the right leader to take La Raza to new highs,” said John Paton, Chairman and CEO of ImpreMedia.

In 2005, Keoseyan, ventured to Puerto Rico were he was hired as Director of Primera Hora the colorful, popular tabloid publication that in 10 years of existence has become the largest single copy newspaper in the country.

“It is an honor and a privilege to take the helm of this great newspaper,” said Keoseyan. “I look forward to contributing in the continued success of La Raza in is efforts to serve the Spanish-speaking community of the greater Chicago area. We have a group of extremely talented employees, and along with them I expect to solidify our position as a must-read for Latinos.”
