KMXE Hosts Toy Drive To Benefit Hospitalized Children.

Radio 830 AM KMXE will host a Toy Drive on December 18, 2004 to benefit children in Los Angeles area hospitals. The toy drive will take place from 7:00 am – 11:00 am at El Gallo Giro Restaurant located in Plaza Mexico, 3100 E Imperial Hwy., Lynwood, CA. Attendees are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys with a value of $5.00 or more. All who attend the event will receive a free chilaquiles breakfast courtesy of El Gallo Giro and beverages courtesy of Mineraqua, Jarritos, Sidral Mundet and Sangria Señorial. Attendees will also be entered into drawings for various fun prizes. All Radio 830 AM KMXE air talent will be present to hand out prizes and serve breakfast.
Toys collected from the one-day event will be equally distributed to The Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Memorial Care Hospital of Long Beach, Orange County Children’s Hospital and Loma Linda University Hospital.
“This is a great opportunity for the Hispanic community to come together and help brighten the lives of many sick children,” said Radio 830 AM KMXE EVP / General Manager Zeke Chaidez. “Anytime we have an opportunity to help children, we will always make ourselves available. This is only the first of many such events for KMXE.”
