Entravision Communications Corporation announced that it is rolling out high-definition (HD) newscasts in the Harlingen-Weslaco-Brownsville-McAllen, Texas market on its top-ranked Univision and Fox affiliates. The roll out of HD newscasts began recently, with Univision viewers in South Texas being the first to have access to the number one-rated local newscast in McAllen on KNVO-TV Univision in HD, and XRIO-TV Fox local newscast in HD.
KNVO features two weekday Spanish-language newscasts at 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., anchored by popular newscasters Octavio Saenz and Marianela Aguirre. Additionally, Hugo Magallan anchors the weekend newscasts, at 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.
