Kraft Foods Celebrates Mothers & Sábado Gigante.

Demonstrating a continued commitment to mothers and families, Kraft Foods is flying seven lucky winners to a live taping of the popular Sábado Gigante show in Miami, as part of its Mother’s Day Promotion.

Launched last spring, the Kraft Foods’ Mother’s Day promotion was held in grocery stores nationwide calling for participants to fill in a brief entry form to attend Sábado Gigante in the Miami studios. From the several thousands that entered, seven winners have been selected and will be attending a live taping of the show on September 20th,

along with their family members and friends. Kraft Foods’ will be flying the winners and guests to Miami, covering travel expenses for the group and offering spending money for their entertainment.

“I can’t believe I won! Both my wife and I grew up watching Sábado Gigante with our families, and finally getting to go to the show is like winning the lottery,” said winning contestant, Carlos Muñoz from Los Angeles. “We are thankful to Kraft for this chance to be a part of our favorite show.”

The winners were selected from thousands of nationwide in-store and online entries and included families from the states of California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Texas and Washington. Prior to the show’s taping, the group will picked-up from their hotel by a limousine and taken to the set to meet the show host, Don Francisco.

The Kraft Foods’ Sábado Gigante Mother’s Day promotion was officially in stores April of 2003 just in time for Mother’s Day traditionally celebrated in many Latin American countries on May 10th. Each life-size standing display depicted a photo of the show co-hosts, Javier Romero and Sissi with details on how to enter. Helping to ensure national reach in the Hispanic market, this promotion was also supported by radio spots and Kraft Foods’ sponsored commercials on Univision.
