La Agencia de Orcí Receives Latino Marketing Awards.
November 8, 2003
La Agencia de Orcí & Asociados was honored last night at the Second Annual Latino Marketing Awards Ceremony and Gala Event. These awards recognize excellence in advertising, public relations and marketing campaigns that target Latinos. The agency won two awards, one for the Advertising Category – Public Service Campaign (PSA) and one for Interactive Marketing – Best Banner Campaign.
La Agencia de Orcí was honored for its PSA radio campaign, consisting of three :60 Spanish-language radio spots, for The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF). The campaign was designed to build awareness among young California residents and their parents that, due to Assembly Bill 540, tuition rates are more affordable for eligible immigrant students interested in attending California’s accredited public community college and universities.
La Agencia de Orcí received the Interactive Marketing – Best Banner Campaign Award for its work for American Honda Motor Co.’s Civic Coupe, Sedan and Si models. The campaign targeted powerful, computer-savvy Hispanic male consumers ages 18-24 on YupiMSN, www.yupimsn.com, a leading Spanish-language Internet network. The campaign communicated to the audience that there is a Civic for every lifestyle. Upon clicking the ads, consumers were directed to the Honda website (www.hondacars.com) where they were able to research all models in Spanish. A second component of the campaign was a sweepstakes where participants had the opportunity to register to win a Microsoft Xbox video game console and a customized racing themed accessories package, including games, a steering wheel and foot pedals.
The Second Annual Latino Marketing Awards Ceremony and Gala Event was sponsored by NoticiasWire.com, Hispanic America’s Internet NewsWire, and was hosted by Univision 34 Los Angeles and Telefutura 46 Los Angeles. The evening was held at Univision in Los Angeles and Teresa Quevedo and Rolando Nichols, co-anchors of Univision’s “Noticiero KMEX,” presented the awards.
“We are very proud that our work has been acknowledged one more time,” said Juan José Quintana, Executive Creative Director of La Agencia de Orcí & Asociados. “This has been a great year for our interactive and radio work.”
